A New Year Coming

painting #1 Light Shall Shine Out of Darkness – 2 Corinthians 4:6 – watercolor – 14 x 18 inches

Oh my what a year! I don’t know about you but I am ready to have something better and hopefully 2021 will be better. The painting above morphed into what you see here. Originally I started out using a reference photo of light shining through the woods.

painting #2 Sanctuary Within – mixed media – 8.5 x 8.5 inches

I have the running theme of being at the cusp of giving up on a painting but I stick to my guns and it works out. For the extra sparkle, I used carandache neocolor.

painting #3 The Way of Peace Luke 1:79 – watercolor – 11 x 14 inches

This one was so enjoyable to paint.

painting #4 Exuberant Hope – 11 x 14 inches – watercolor

I painted this last year and decided to give it more umph.

painting #5 In Peaceful Silence – watercolor – 10.5 x 14 inches

Part of how I paint is to allow the imagination and serendipity to lead in.

painting #6 Dreaming of Forests – mixed media – 14 x 18 inches
painting #7 The Way of Truth – watercolor with opaque white – 16 x 20 inches

The last one for now. Here’s to a new year, keep your hope, heart and mind open to wonderful possibilities. See you soon!! Cheers!

December Already!

Painting #1 A Melody in My Heart – watercolor – 11 x 14 inches

I can’t get over how fast this month is going by. Hopefully everyone is doing well considering the crazy Covid-19 times we are in.

The painting above is a reworked painting and now I am happy, yes indeed!

Painting #2 By His Strength – Psalm 65:6 – 11 x 14 inches

Another reworked painting, it need more umph.

Painting #3 The Father of Heavenly Lights – watercolor – 11 x 14 inches
Painting #4 – Peace Within – watercolor 11 x 14 inches

I truly enjoyed going soft on this one. Sometimes I can get bold and aggressive with my approach, so when I go slow and soft, it’s a realization that I can do this.

Painting #5 Heavenly Host – watercolor with opaque white – 11 x 14 inches

One of my favorites of the bunch. I enjoy painting by my intuition, it is so Me.

Painting #6 Up Again From the Depths Psalm 71: 20&21 – watercolor with opaque white and carandache neocolor

Another intuitive on a reworked painting. I am so happy that I hold onto paintings that I am unsure about.

That’s it for now. Have a wonderful holidays and stay safe! We’ll get through this. ❣️
