Painting #1 “Tomorrow” – imaginescape – 11 x 14 inches
I can’t believe that March is just about over. The above painting was an experiment using French Ultramarine Blue with Piemontite Geniune. I am in love with Piemontite Geniune, it is such a beautiful, vivid color made by Daniel Smith.
Painting #2 “Brilliance” – semi-abstract – 11 x 15 inches
Another experiment, another session one of jumping in to discover what I can manage to do something different. All l had in mind was to keep my colors clean and pure, I think that I like the outcome.
Painting #3 untitled – imaginescape – 14 x 19 inches
I have been edging into painting larger, only reason I resist it at times is because I am so stingy with my paper. I wished that the epic look comes across but you get the general idea.
Painting #4 – untitled – imaginescape – 11 x 14 inches
A theme that seems to keep cropping up, I suppose I have a love for skyscapes.
Painting #5 “Rest” – imaginescape – 11 x 14 inches
I have been trying to paint more methodically and slowly. I am an allaprima artist or perhaps I am an impatient one!
Painting #6 “Morning at Hall’s Ranch” – 11 x 14 inches
Another one that I built up slowly and intuitively.
Painting #7 “Early Bright” – imaginescape – 11 x 14 inches
Just playing around with color and values.
Painting #8 – “Burst” – abstract – 14.5 x 21 inches
I worked on this for over a week, taking my time in assessing it and using my creative intuition to bring it to completion. I think that the universe seems to show up in my abstracts.
I am more and more relying on my inner intuition, for me this is my true creativity, my favorite way of painting. The more I tap into this way of painting, I feel at home and confident. That’s it for now, see you next month!
