I have been working on this one for several weeks. Yesterday I wasn’t satisfied with the other half of the painting and split it in half and switched the orientation and found out that I like it better this way! I added a bit of yellow acrylic and now I feel satisfied that it is finished.
I follow my inner creative in my decision making in what to paint or how. I had no preconceived idea on how to start this painting or finish. I wait until I get an idea of a shape or color and then follow along.
Setting aside a painting, especially an abstract is important, sometimes it takes a while for creativity. It is very odd that I’ll work on a painting and then discover that the orientation is different from my original plan. Here are the other posts about this series: Moonlight Abstract #1 Moonlight Abstract #2 and Falls Moonlight #3 & Co.
*A word about photos. The photos on my blog are mine, taken by me and copying them would be stealing from me. If you find a photo that you would like to copy or use, I request that you ask me for permission and I expect you to give me full credit for my own photo. Thank you so very much.
I like where this painting is going. Keep following your inner light.

hehe….it is a little bizarre but I love it at the same time. When I look at it, I get goose bumps. I have no idea what it means or what it says but when I get goosebumps, that is good enough for me.

Very interesting. With the title Moonlight Series, I expected something representational. It looks like it started out that way then wandered off. Very interesting. I have a painting that 90% of viewers think should hang the other way up – looks like you have one that you felt the same about.

All in the eye of the beholder, I suppose. 😉

I’ve looked at it for several minutes, and it feels aquatic to me, or a reflection or just below the surface. I like looking at it!

hehe….I keep looking at it trying to figure out what the heck did I paint!!?? all from the subconscious, so what does that mean? I think that it looks a bit space ship from another galaxy. I love hearing what people see or don’t see. 😉

A stunning series, Margaret. I checked out all 4, and they show a wonderful transition as you worked with the subject and your own emotional approach to the canvas. I like them all, but #1 seems to draw me in. I want to stand and look and look.

that. is what I love to see in art!! your personal interpretation, expression. the Willingness to risk it all – this is something, FEW painters are willing to do.
YAY Miss M!! 🙂 as always, YRF

haha……odd how I followed whatever that inner muse was saying and yet I am still trying to figure out what the heck I did. I love it and yet puzzled by it. I love your take on it! 😉

thats it exactly. following so intently that no other thoughts distract from The Doing… and then its as if, you Wake up. it is odd, it happens like that. sometimes. YRF

my pleasure… I know, not everyone does, or ‘feels’ like I do. but, at times, I sense you have had some similar responses to art.
